Letter From The Editor

San Francisco, 2015

I suppose I can be proud to say that I graduated from one of the best law schools in the US and have been an attorney for ten years. I am also proud to say that I received an MBA focused on fashion and entrepreneurship from one of the best schools in Europe. But I am perhaps proudest to be able to say that I took a personal passion for living an active, mobile lifestyle and built the international brand SOLZ. It is through my experience in the fashion industry that I have met some of the most impressive creative talents – who continue to instruct, inspire and thoroughly humble me. While I may never be able to share the artistic abilities they possess, I do hope that my experiences on the business and legal side of the industry can help them more fully realize the potential of theirs.

Many people think that lawyers are something only useful when they are in jail or being sued. We have all heard the jokes (I am a fan), and I don’t think its too much of a stretch to say that lawyers are not the first thing we think of as having any relation to fashion. But legal and business tools can be exactly the resources that will change a hobby into a successful business.

This publication was created by lawyers, business people and fashion industry professionals – for the benefit of others in our shared community and industry.  Some of the content will be from lawyers with their own particular specialties, but a quick glance at our list of initial founding contributors will show that we are so much more.  We all share a common goal -enabling creative fashion minds to do what they do best, CREATE. If you have an idea or inspiration we hope you find things here to help it become a reality.

Fashion is a noun meaning a popular trend in a particular aesthetic style but it is also a verb meaning to make or build something into a desired form. In Fashion InJunction, our talented team helps bring these two concepts together. If you want your idea or inspiration to become a reality, we hope you find some assistance herein. You have already taken the first step.

“Your Success is Just Our Style.℠”
